Jaguar Car Limited, a Ford Motor Company subsidiary, is a luxury car manufacturer founded in 1922. Its present lineup starts with the 2009 Jaguar XF sedan (MSRP $49,975.00 – $62,975.00, Invoice price $45,547.00 – $57,377.00), which competes with the BMW535i and the BMW550i and is available in Luxury, Premium Luxury and Supercharged trim levels.
The production version of this model debuted at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. Buyers of the 2009 Jaguar XF can choose from a 300-horsepower, 4.2-liter V8 engine for both the Luxury and Premium Luxury trim levels, or a 420-horsepower, 4.2-liter V8 engine for the Supercharged trim level. It is equipped with a six-speed shiftable automatic transmission, and a rear-wheel drive system. This model features a power glass sunroof, height-adjustable driver and passenger seats, ten-way power driver and passenger seats, and leather upholstery.
Next is the 2008 Jaguar XJ8 sedan (MSRP $64,500.00 – $84,250.00, Invoice price $58,755.00 – $76,728.00), which was launched in 1968 and is the automaker’s flagship model. It is available in XJ8, XJ8 L, XJ Vanden Plas, and XJR trim levels. This model competes with the Audi A8, BMW 550, BMW 750, Cadillac STS, and Lexus LS 460. Other competing models include the Lexus LS 600h, Maserati Quattroporte, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Buyers can choose from a 300-horsepower, 4.2-liter V8 engine or a 400-horsepower, 4.2-liter V8 engine (for XJR trim level only). It is also equipped with a six-speed shiftable automatic transmission, and a rear-wheel drive system. This model features 18 x 8.0 inch alloy wheels, all season tires, premium leather upholstery, and multi-level heating driver, passenger and rear seats.
